Union Rovers based at Norton College, Langton Road, Norton, Malton are in desperate need of some additional players to maintain their two teams in the Newitts.com Beckett Football league. The Club have a first team managed by Paul Jennison and a second team managed by Richard Metcalfe with Secretary Stuart Gordon who is on 07792 292843, if any player can help out in any way please contact Stuart or turn up for a training session at the Norton College Gym on Thursday at 6.30pm.. The Reserve team failed to fulfil last Saturday’s fixture for the second week running so the Club have agreed that if they can’t get some more players signed on quickly and/or receive a better commitment from their current pool of players, the Club will have to resign their second team from the second division of the newitts.com Beckett League, the Club have had two teams as members for the past 12 or 13 seasons so it would be a huge blow to central Ryedale soccer if they had to take this course of action, if you can help please contact as listed above.
